Stratula Mocanu & Asociatii co-founded the East Legal Team, an European Economic Interest Grouping (EEIG), together with co-founders Balázs & Holló Law Firm in Budapest and associated members Janković, Popović & Mitić in Belgrade, UHY Yans-Audit in Moskow and Kunstek, Halle & Simac in Zagreb. The grouping aims to provide integrated services for mutual clients in the Central and Eastern European area.

Sorin Stratula, Managing Partner of STM, was invited to the 2007 BIZ Days real estate conference at World Trade Center Bucharest to talk about the real estate development in Romania under the latest legislative enactments regulating the field. The speech focused on the impact that the new laws have on land acquisitions, with a particular view on the intricacies and complexity of such investments in a real estate market defined as a seller-market, where the harsh competitiveness between developers and their huge and sophisticated demand for new plots is continuously increasing.

STM was retained by Oxford Management, part of the Oxford group of companies, as legal counsel for its investment activities in Romania. The Oxford group is involved in creative property development in Eastern Europe and currently manages or is in discussion for development of around 2,500,000m² of land primarily in Lavtia, Estonia and Romania.
